Frederica Mathewes-Green is an American author and speaker in the national forum on topics related to Eastern Orthodox belief and practice. She holds a degree in theological studies from Virginia Theological Seminary. She lives with her husband, the Rev. Gregory Mathewes-Green, in Johnson City, TN. Their three children are grown and married, and they have fourteen grandchildren.
